# ConvertX > Full documentation content for ConvertX --- # Main ## Getting Started ### Module not showing on the storefront **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/module-not-showing If a ConvertX feature does not appear on your Shopify storefront, the issue usually comes from one of four areas: **App Embed**, **publish status**, **placement**, or **targeting**. This checklist applies to modules, widgets, and Cart Drawer. ## Quick checklist - The ConvertX App Embed is enabled in the active theme - The feature is published or unlocked in ConvertX - The feature is placed in the Theme Editor if it requires an App Block - The correct Shopify theme is being previewed - The current product matches the feature targeting rules ## Most common causes ### The App Embed is disabled Sticky Add to Cart and Cart Drawer require the ConvertX App Embed directly. Other features also rely on it for shared storefront logic. If the App Embed is off, ConvertX storefront behavior can fail even if the feature is correctly configured. ### The feature is not published If the feature is still saved as a draft, it will not display live. ### The App Block is missing Modules like Bundles, Upsells, Stories, Payment Icons, and most widgets need a Shopify App Block in the product template. ### The product is not targeted If the module is limited to specific products, collections, devices, languages, or markets, it may be working correctly but hidden on the page you are testing. ## Feature-specific checks ### Bundles, Upsells, Stories, Payment Icons, and widgets - Confirm the product page App Block is present - Confirm the block was saved in the current theme - Confirm the feature is active in ConvertX ### Sticky Add to Cart - Confirm the App Embed is enabled - Confirm you are on a product page - Confirm desktop or mobile display settings match the current device ### Cart Drawer - Confirm the App Embed is enabled - Confirm Cart Drawer is enabled in ConvertX - Confirm the theme has cart triggers or cart links that shoppers can open ## Troubleshooting FAQ The app preview only confirms the configuration. The storefront still depends on the live theme, App Embed, App Block placement, and targeting rules. ConvertX setup is theme-specific. Re-enable the App Embed and re-check App Blocks or sections in the second theme. Review device targeting and device-specific visibility settings. Some features let you enable desktop and mobile separately. ## Best practices - Test with one active change at a time - Verify on a real product page, not only in preview mode - Re-check the active theme before troubleshooting deeper --- ### Install & Setup **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/install ConvertX is a Shopify app for product-page modules, widgets, sections, and Cart Drawer optimization. The initial setup is short, but one step is mandatory: enabling the **ConvertX App Embed** in the theme you want to use. This guide covers the full setup flow so published ConvertX features can actually load on the storefront. No code editing is required. ConvertX uses Shopify App Embeds, App Blocks, and theme sections. ## What gets installed After installation, ConvertX can power three types of storefront elements: - Modules such as Bundles, Upsells, Stories, Sticky Add to Cart, Payment Icons, and Cart Drawer - Widgets such as Product Benefits, Product Highlights, Stock Indicator, Estimated Delivery Date, Trust Icons, and Product Badge - Theme Sections such as Testimonials Carousel, Image + Text Highlight, and Before/After Comparison Modules and widgets do not all use the same placement flow. Some use a product page App Block, while Sticky Add to Cart and Cart Drawer rely on the App Embed. ## Step 1: Install ConvertX from the Shopify App Store **Open the Shopify App Store** Search for **ConvertX** from your Shopify Admin or from the App Store. **Install the app** Click **Install** and approve the required Shopify permissions. **Open the ConvertX dashboard** After installation, Shopify redirects you to ConvertX inside your admin. ## Step 2: Complete onboarding When you open ConvertX for the first time, you may see onboarding and plan screens. These help unlock the right features, but they do not replace theme setup. During onboarding, you can: - Review plans and feature access - Explore available modules, widgets, and sections - Start creating drafts before placing features in the theme Plan limits affect active application types and premium functionality, but the installation flow stays the same for every store. ## Step 3: Activate the App Embed The **ConvertX App Embed** is required. It loads ConvertX storefront logic and powers global features such as Sticky Add to Cart and Cart Drawer. If the App Embed is disabled, ConvertX storefront features can stop working immediately. **Open the Theme Editor** In Shopify Admin, go to **Online Store -> Themes -> Customize**. **Open App embeds** In the Theme Editor sidebar, open **App embeds**. **Enable ConvertX** Turn on the **ConvertX** App Embed. **Save the theme** Click **Save** before leaving the editor. For a dedicated walkthrough, see [Activate the App Embed](app-embed). ## Step 4: Verify installation Use this quick checklist: - Open ConvertX and confirm you can access the dashboard - Confirm the App Embed is enabled in the active theme - Publish one test feature - If it uses an App Block, place it in the product template and save - Visit a product page on the storefront and confirm it loads Bundles, Upsells, Stories, Payment Icons, and widgets usually require an App Block. Sticky Add to Cart and Cart Drawer use the App Embed instead. ## What to do next After installation, the next step depends on the feature you want to use: - Start with [Create & Activate your first module](activate-first-module) - Use [Add a ConvertX App Block](add-app-block) when a product template placement is required - Use [Module not showing on the storefront](module-not-showing) if a published feature is missing ## Common installation issues Check the full chain: - The ConvertX App Embed is enabled in the active theme - The feature is published or unlocked - The feature is placed in the Theme Editor when an App Block is required - The current product matches the targeting rules The App Embed is theme-specific. Re-enable the ConvertX App Embed in the new theme, then re-check any App Blocks or sections placed in that theme. Make sure you are editing an Online Store 2.0 theme in the Shopify Theme Editor. Older or heavily customized themes may expose different editor layouts. ## Best practices - Enable the App Embed before publishing storefront features - Test one feature at a time during setup - Verify placement on a real product page, not only in the app preview - If you use multiple themes, repeat setup checks on each theme --- ### Activate the App Embed **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/app-embed The **ConvertX App Embed** connects ConvertX to your Shopify theme. It is the required storefront layer for ConvertX and must be enabled before you test published features. ConvertX uses the App Embed to load shared storefront logic and to power features such as **Sticky Add to Cart** and **Cart Drawer**. The App Embed is theme-specific. If you publish or switch to another theme, you must enable it again in that theme. ## What the App Embed does When enabled, the ConvertX App Embed can: - Load storefront scripts and styles required by ConvertX - Expose storefront context such as locale and money format - Enable Sticky Add to Cart on product pages - Enable Cart Drawer on the storefront - Support other published ConvertX features that rely on shared storefront logic Publishing a feature is not enough if the App Embed is disabled. ## How to activate the App Embed **Open Shopify Admin** Go to **Online Store -> Themes**. **Customize the theme** Open the theme where you want ConvertX to run. **Open App embeds** In the Theme Editor, open the **App embeds** panel. **Enable ConvertX** Turn on the **ConvertX** App Embed. **Save the theme** Click **Save** before leaving the editor. ## When you still need an App Block The App Embed does not replace every placement step. You still need a product page App Block for features such as: - Bundles - Upsells - Stories - Payment Icons - Widgets on the product page The App Embed handles global loading. App Blocks handle placement inside a Shopify template. ## Common issues and fixes ### App Embed is enabled but nothing appears If the App Embed is enabled and nothing appears, the problem is usually placement, publish status, or targeting. Check the following: - The feature status is **Published** or unlocked in ConvertX - The feature is placed in the Theme Editor when an App Block is required - The product or collection matches the targeting rules - You are testing on the same theme where the App Embed is enabled ### I cannot find the App Embeds section The App Embeds panel is available in the Shopify Theme Editor for Online Store 2.0 themes. Make sure that: - You are editing a compatible theme - You are in the Theme Editor, not in another Shopify admin screen - You installed ConvertX on the correct store ### I changed my Shopify theme Each Shopify theme keeps its own App Embed configuration. If you publish or switch to a new theme: - Open the new theme in the Theme Editor - Re-enable the ConvertX App Embed - Save the theme - Re-check any App Block or section placement in that theme ## Verification checklist Use this checklist after activation: - The ConvertX App Embed is on - The theme was saved after activation - The correct theme is being previewed - Your ConvertX feature is published or unlocked - If needed, the App Block is placed on the product template ## Best practices - Re-check the App Embed after every theme switch - Treat the App Embed and App Block as two separate requirements - Test Sticky Add to Cart and Cart Drawer after every theme update --- ### Create & Activate your first module **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/activate-first-module ConvertX storefront features fall into three product families: - **Modules** - **Widgets** - **Sections** They all start from the ConvertX dashboard, but they do not all use the same activation flow. This guide helps you choose the correct path from the start. ConvertX uses Shopify-native surfaces: App Embed, App Blocks, and theme sections. No manual code editing is required. ## Before you start Make sure that: - ConvertX is installed - The ConvertX App Embed is enabled in the active theme - You know which feature family you want to use If you are unsure, start with a single product-page feature and verify it live before enabling more modules. ## Choose the right activation flow Use the matching flow below: - **Modules**: Bundles, Upsells, Stories, Sticky Add to Cart, Payment Icons, Cart Drawer - **Widgets**: Product Benefits, Product Highlights, Stock Indicator, Estimated Delivery Date, Trust Icons, Product Badge - **Sections**: Testimonials Carousel, Image + Text Highlight, Before/After Comparison ## Create your first module Modules are the main conversion features inside ConvertX. **Open the Modules area** From the ConvertX dashboard, choose the module you want to create. **Configure the module** Adjust content, style, targeting, and advanced settings in the editor. **Publish the module** Save the module as active when the configuration is ready. **Place it correctly** If the module uses an App Block, open the Shopify Theme Editor and place it in the product template. Placement rules for modules: - **Bundles**, **Upsells**, **Stories**, and **Payment Icons** require an App Block on the product page - **Sticky Add to Cart** uses the App Embed and does not require a product page App Block - **Cart Drawer** uses the App Embed and storefront cart triggers rather than product-page block placement If a module requires an App Block and the block is not placed in the Shopify template, the module will not appear even when it is published. ## Activate your first widget Widgets are lightweight product-page elements. In the app, they may also be referred to internally as snippets. **Open the Widgets area** Choose the widget you want to use from the ConvertX dashboard. **Unlock or enable it** Make the widget available for your store. **Open the Theme Editor** Add the widget App Block to the product template where you want it to appear. **Save the template** Confirm placement and save the theme. Common widget placements: - Above the Add to Cart button - Below the Add to Cart button - Near shipping, reassurance, or buying information ## Add your first section Sections are added to a Shopify theme first, then inserted like native theme sections inside the Theme Editor. **Open the Sections area** Select a ConvertX Section from the dashboard. **Choose a theme** Select the Shopify theme that should receive the section file. **Add the section to the theme** ConvertX injects the section file into the selected theme. **Open the Theme Editor** Add the new section like any other Shopify section and place it where you want. Sections are plan-dependent. If the section is locked in the dashboard, the store plan does not currently include it. ## Troubleshooting Check whether it needs an App Block or only the App Embed. Then confirm the placement was saved in the correct theme template. Open the live theme in Shopify and repeat the setup there. App Blocks, embeds, and sections are theme-specific. Use modules for conversion features, widgets for compact product-page content, and sections for larger theme sections. If the feature appears in the product template sidebar, it usually uses an App Block. ## Best practices - Start with one feature family at a time - Verify the live storefront after every placement change - Keep the App Embed enabled before testing any published feature - Use dedicated guides for each module, widget, or section once the first setup is complete --- ### Add a ConvertX App Block **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/add-app-block Many ConvertX features are placed with a **Shopify App Block**. This is the standard setup flow for product-page modules such as Bundles, Upsells, Stories, Payment Icons, and for most ConvertX widgets. An App Block controls placement inside the Shopify template. It is different from the ConvertX App Embed, which controls global storefront loading. ## Features that use an App Block Typical App Block features include: - Bundles - Upsells - Stories - Payment Icons - Product Benefits - Product Highlights - Stock Indicator - Estimated Delivery Date - Trust Icons - Product Badge ## Before you start Make sure that: - The ConvertX App Embed is enabled - The feature is published, unlocked, or active in ConvertX - You are editing the correct Shopify theme ## Add the App Block in Shopify **Open the Theme Editor** Go to **Online Store -> Themes -> Customize**. **Open a product template** Choose the product template where the ConvertX feature should appear. **Add the block** Click **Add block** and select the matching ConvertX App Block. **Move it into position** Place the App Block near the Add to Cart button or inside the product information area. **Save the template** Click **Save** to publish the placement. ## Recommended placements - Bundles: above the Add to Cart button - Upsells: above the Add to Cart button - Stories: near the top of the product page - Payment Icons: below the Add to Cart button - Widgets: near shipping, reassurance, or buying information Place only a few conversion elements around the Add to Cart area. Too many blocks can reduce clarity and hurt conversion. ## Troubleshooting Check that the feature is already active in ConvertX and that you are editing a compatible product template in the right theme. Check that the ConvertX App Embed is enabled, the block is saved, and the current product matches any targeting rules. The current template, product targeting, or collection targeting may limit visibility. Test on a targeted product. ## Best practices - Save after every placement change - Use one clear placement per feature - Test on a real product page after publishing --- ## Modules ### How to add Bundles **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/bundles ConvertX **Quantity Bundles** help you increase average order value by offering quantity-based deals directly on the Shopify product page. Bundles are designed to sit close to the native Add to Cart area so shoppers can choose a quantity offer before purchase. Bundles use a product page App Block and also rely on the ConvertX App Embed for storefront logic. ## How Bundles work A bundle lets you present several purchase options for the same product, such as: - Buy 1 at standard price - Buy 2 with a discount - Buy 3 with a stronger discount or bonus When the customer selects a bundle offer and adds the product to cart, ConvertX applies the bundle behavior based on the configuration you published. ## Before you start Make sure that: - The ConvertX App Embed is enabled - You are editing a product that should display the bundle - The bundle targets the right products or collections ## Bundle editor overview The bundle editor includes: - A **General** area for targeting and offer logic - A **Style** area for design customization - A live preview on the selected product You can configure: - Internal bundle name - Product and collection targeting - Offer quantities - Discount type and value - Offer labels, badges, and highlight states - Variant selector behavior - Optional gift or visual emphasis depending on the offer Use two or three offers at most. Too many options can make the product page harder to scan. ## Configure the bundle Typical configuration steps: - Choose where the bundle should appear - Add one or more offers - Set the default or highlighted offer - Configure title, label, compare-at price, and per-item messaging - Adjust design so the bundle matches your theme ## Publish and place the bundle Publishing the bundle makes it available, but you should still verify its position in Shopify. **Publish the bundle** Save the bundle as active in ConvertX. **Open the Shopify Theme Editor** Go to the product template used by your store. **Add the ConvertX Bundle App Block** Select the Bundle App Block in the product section. **Place it above Add to Cart** Keep the bundle close to the buying area for best results. **Save the theme** Confirm the final storefront placement. If the bundle is published but the App Block is missing from the product template, it will not appear on the storefront. ## Troubleshooting Check the ConvertX App Embed, the Bundle App Block placement, the saved theme, and the bundle targeting rules. Review the internal bundle name, make sure at least one valid offer exists, and confirm the current plan still allows another active application type if required. Re-check App Block placement, preview on the real product template, and simplify spacing or labels if the theme product area is narrow. ## Best practices - Keep the main offer title short and benefit-driven - Highlight only one offer as the recommended choice - Place the bundle above the Add to Cart button - Test the bundle on a real product page before driving traffic to it --- ### How to add Stories **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/stories ConvertX **Stories** let you display short vertical videos on Shopify product pages. They are designed for UGC, creator content, product demonstrations, and other visual proof that supports the buying decision. Stories require the ConvertX App Embed and a product page App Block in the Shopify Theme Editor. ## How Stories work Stories are displayed as tappable or clickable story cards on the product page. Shoppers can open them, watch the video, and continue toward purchase without leaving the page. Stories are especially useful for: - UGC and creator content - Product demos - Before purchase reassurance - Explaining features visually ## Before you start Make sure that: - The ConvertX App Embed is enabled - Your videos are available in Shopify files - The current product is included in the targeting rules Stories perform best with vertical video content in a 9:16 format. ## Stories editor overview The Stories editor is built around: - **Content** for story entries and targeting - **Style** for layout and visual customization - **Conditions** for display rules such as device targeting - A live preview panel You can configure: - Story title - Badge or trust indicator - Video selection - Sound behavior - Sizing, spacing, borders, and gradients ## Build your story set For each story, you can: - Select a video from Shopify files - Set a title - Add optional badge text - Control the visual presentation in the story list Stories rely on the Shopify file or video source you selected. If the asset is removed or replaced, the storefront story can break. ## Publish and place Stories **Publish the Stories module** Save the story set as active in ConvertX. **Open the Shopify Theme Editor** Choose the product template where the stories should appear. **Add the ConvertX Stories App Block** Select the Stories App Block in the product section. **Place the block** Stories usually work best near the top of the product page. **Save the theme** Verify the final position on the live storefront. ## Troubleshooting Check the ConvertX App Embed, the Stories App Block placement, the product targeting rules, and the saved Shopify theme. Use vertical videos and preview the story layout on the real product page. Horizontal videos usually perform poorly in Stories. Browser autoplay rules vary. Build Stories that still work visually when audio starts muted. ## Best practices - Use vertical videos - Keep each story short and clear - Place Stories close to the top of the product page - Use Stories to explain or prove, not to overload the page --- ### How to add Sticky Add to Cart **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/sticky-cart ConvertX **Sticky Add to Cart** keeps a purchase bar visible while shoppers scroll on product pages. It helps reduce friction, especially on mobile or on long product pages where the native Add to Cart button quickly leaves the viewport. Sticky Add to Cart uses the ConvertX App Embed. It does not require a product page App Block. ## How Sticky Add to Cart works Once enabled and published, Sticky Add to Cart can: - Appear on product pages when the shopper scrolls - Stay visible on desktop, mobile, or both - Show the Add to Cart button, the Buy Now button, or both - Display product details such as image, title, brand, or price ## Before you start Make sure that: - The ConvertX App Embed is enabled - The feature is published in ConvertX - You are testing on a product page ## Sticky Add to Cart editor overview The editor is split into: - A **Content** tab for visibility and display behavior - A **Style** tab for button and layout customization - A live preview with desktop and mobile modes Key settings include: - Desktop and mobile activation - Display timing - Which buttons to show - Product detail visibility - Button colors, text, padding, and border radius - Bar background and spacing ## Recommended setup The most common setup is: - Enable it on mobile - Show it when the shopper scrolls past the native Add to Cart button - Keep the layout compact - Show the price when it helps the product page stay clear The scroll-based option is usually better than showing the sticky bar immediately. It avoids duplicate purchase buttons on screen. ## Publish Sticky Add to Cart Sticky Add to Cart does not need a dedicated App Block. After publishing: - The module becomes available through the App Embed - It can load on product pages that match its settings - You only need to verify the storefront behavior in the active theme ## Troubleshooting Check that the ConvertX App Embed is enabled, the module is published, and you are on a product page that matches the current device settings. Review the mobile visibility settings and test on the real storefront rather than only the app preview. Change the display mode to show it only after the native Add to Cart button leaves the viewport. ## Best practices - Use scroll-based visibility - Keep the bar visually lighter than the main product area - Test both desktop and mobile before publishing - Match button styling to the theme for a more native feel --- ### How to add Upsells **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/upsells ConvertX **Upsells** let you suggest an additional product directly on the Shopify product page. The upsell appears as part of the buying flow so shoppers can accept it before they add the main product to cart. Upsells require the ConvertX App Embed and a product page App Block in the Shopify Theme Editor. ## How Upsells work An upsell typically appears as a compact offer with: - Product image - Product title - Description - Price - Checkbox or accept state When the shopper accepts the upsell and uses the theme Add to Cart flow, the upsell product is added together with the main product. ## Before you start Make sure that: - The ConvertX App Embed is enabled - The upsell product is available in Shopify - The current product matches the targeting rules ## Upsell editor overview The editor includes: - **General** settings for name and targeting - **Upsell** settings for the offered product and content - **Style** settings for the visual design - A live preview You can configure: - Which product to offer - Which products or collections should display the upsell - Optional custom name, description, or badge - Default checked behavior - Borders, colors, checkbox styling, and typography Use pre-selected upsells carefully. The offer should stay clear and trustworthy for the shopper. ## Publish and place the upsell **Publish the upsell** Save the upsell as active in ConvertX. **Open the Shopify Theme Editor** Go to the product template used by the targeted product pages. **Add the ConvertX Upsell App Block** Select the Upsell App Block in the product section. **Place it above Add to Cart** This keeps the offer inside the purchase flow. **Save the theme** Confirm the final storefront placement. ## Troubleshooting Check the ConvertX App Embed, the Upsell App Block placement, the product targeting rules, and the published status. Confirm the upsell product is available in Shopify and that the shopper is using the standard product Add to Cart flow on the page. Simplify the content, reduce spacing, and keep the offer close to the Add to Cart button. ## Best practices - Offer only complementary products - Keep the copy short and concrete - Place the upsell above Add to Cart - Avoid stacking too many upsells on the same product page --- ### How to add Payment Icons **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/payment-icons ConvertX **Payment Icons** display accepted payment methods on the product page. They are a reassurance element designed to reduce hesitation near the Add to Cart button and improve checkout confidence. Payment Icons require the ConvertX App Embed and a product page App Block in the Shopify Theme Editor. ## How Payment Icons work Payment Icons are visual only. They do not change Shopify checkout behavior or payment settings. They help shoppers quickly understand that your store supports familiar payment options such as: - Visa - Mastercard - PayPal - Apple Pay - Shopify Pay ## Before you start Make sure that: - The ConvertX App Embed is enabled - The Payment Icons module is published - You only plan to display payment methods your store actually supports ## Payment Icons editor overview The editor usually includes: - Design controls - Conditions or visibility rules - A live preview of the payment icon row You can configure: - Selected payment icons - Display order - Icon size and spacing - Alignment - Optional header text - Typography and colors Icons are displayed in the same order you choose them. Keep the list short and relevant. ## Publish and place Payment Icons **Publish the module** Save Payment Icons as active in ConvertX. **Open the Shopify Theme Editor** Go to the product template used by your store. **Add the ConvertX Payment Icons App Block** Select the Payment Icons block in the product section. **Place it below Add to Cart** This is the most common placement for reassurance content. **Save the theme** Check the live product page after saving. ## Troubleshooting Check the ConvertX App Embed, the App Block placement, the published status, and the saved Shopify theme. Re-open the icon selector and save the icons in the intended order. ConvertX follows the selection order. Reduce the number of icons and keep the visual treatment lighter than the main Add to Cart area. ## Best practices - Show only real payment methods supported by the store - Keep the icon row close to the buying area - Avoid using too many icons - Use moderate icon size for mobile readability --- ### How to add Cart Drawer **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/cart-drawer ConvertX **Cart Drawer** is a customizable slide-out cart for Shopify. It is also referred to as an **optimized cart** or **dynamic cart** because it combines cart display, upsell surfaces, trust modules, and checkout-focused elements in one place. Unlike a product page App Block, Cart Drawer is powered by the **ConvertX App Embed** and reacts to storefront cart triggers. Cart Drawer is the canonical ConvertX cart experience. It does not need a product page App Block. ## How Cart Drawer works Once enabled and published, Cart Drawer can: - Open from cart icons or cart triggers on the storefront - Display cart items, discounts, subtotal, and checkout controls - Show conversion modules such as recommended products or shipping protection - Add trust and urgency elements inside the cart ## Before you start Make sure that: - The ConvertX App Embed is enabled - Cart Drawer is active in ConvertX - Your theme has cart links or cart buttons shoppers can use ## What Cart Drawer includes The Cart Drawer editor covers several areas: - Drawer layout and header - Body sections such as announcement timer, free shipping bar, cart items, info message, and trust icons - Recommended products - Footer modules such as shipping protection, discount code, order notes, subtotal, checkout button, express checkout, and payment icons ## Publish Cart Drawer After publishing: - Cart Drawer loads through the ConvertX App Embed - It can replace or augment the storefront cart drawer experience depending on theme behavior - You should test cart opening, item updates, and checkout flow on the live theme ## Related guides Use the Cart Drawer cluster for the full setup: - [Cart Drawer layout](cart-drawer-layout) - [Cart Drawer sections](cart-drawer-sections) - [Recommended products in Cart Drawer](cart-drawer-recommended-products) - [Cart Drawer footer modules](cart-drawer-footer-modules) - [Cart Drawer analytics](cart-drawer-analytics) - [Cart Drawer troubleshooting](cart-drawer-troubleshooting) ## Troubleshooting Check the ConvertX App Embed, confirm Cart Drawer is enabled, and verify the theme exposes cart links or cart triggers on the storefront. Review the section or footer module order, enabled state, and any plan restriction that applies to premium functionality. Refine width, background, spacing, title, and footer styling so the drawer feels consistent with the active Shopify theme. ## Best practices - Test the full add-to-cart to checkout flow on the live theme - Keep the drawer focused on checkout progress and a small number of conversion modules - Add trust, urgency, and upsells only when each one stays visually clear --- ### Cart Drawer layout and header **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/cart-drawer-layout This page covers the structural settings of the ConvertX Cart Drawer: the header, title, empty cart state, drawer width, colors, and shell styling. Use this page together with [How to add Cart Drawer](cart-drawer). ## What you can customize Core layout settings include: - Cart title text - Title alignment - Header size - Close icon size and colors - Header background and border - Drawer background - Drawer width - Empty cart message - Empty cart button text - Optional inherited theme fonts ## Header settings The header is the first thing shoppers see when the drawer opens. Recommended decisions: - Keep the title short and readable - Use title alignment that matches the theme style - Keep the close button obvious, especially on mobile The title text can include cart quantity information. Keep it simple so it still reads well when the quantity changes. ## Drawer shell settings The drawer shell controls the overall feeling of the cart: - Width controls how much space the drawer uses - Background color affects contrast and readability - Header border helps separate the title area from the cart content - Bottom spacing affects how the footer sits inside the drawer ## Empty cart state The empty cart state should explain what happened and what the shopper can do next. Use: - A clear empty cart message - A continue shopping button label that matches your tone The empty cart state is part of the shopper experience too. It should feel intentional, not like a fallback error. ## Troubleshooting Reduce the drawer width and simplify the number of active sections or footer modules. Shorten the title text, reduce title size, or switch to a slimmer header size. Adjust the empty message and button text so the drawer still encourages navigation when the cart has no items. ## Best practices - Match the drawer shell to the active theme - Keep contrast high enough for quick scanning - Use compact title text and a visible close control --- ### Cart Drawer sections **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/cart-drawer-sections The body of the ConvertX Cart Drawer is built from reorderable sections. These sections let you add urgency, progress, cart context, and trust without sending shoppers away from checkout. ## Available body sections The main Cart Drawer sections are: - Announcement Timer - Free Shipping Bar - Cart Items - Recommended Products - Info Message - Trust Icons This page focuses on the body sections other than Recommended Products, which is covered separately in [Recommended products in Cart Drawer](cart-drawer-recommended-products). ## Announcement Timer Use the Announcement Timer to show a timed reservation or urgency message inside the drawer. You can configure: - Custom text - Minutes and seconds - Text size and alignment - Padding - Sticky behavior - Background and text colors Use urgency carefully. The timer should support conversion, not feel misleading. ## Free Shipping Bar The Free Shipping Bar shows progress toward a shipping threshold. You can configure: - Goal amount - Progress and success text - Bar height - Fill and track colors - Whether to show the start and goal amounts - Sticky or regular behavior ## Cart Items Cart Items remain the core section of the drawer and should stay easy to scan. Available controls include: - Quantity control alignment - Delete button visibility - Delete button position - Product title, variant, price, and compare-at styling ## Info Message The Info Message is a simple content block for reassurance or short operational notes, such as shipping or support context. ## Trust Icons Trust Icons let you add short reassurance rows inside the drawer, such as: - Fast shipping - Secure payment - Easy returns ## Order and spacing Sections can be reordered and spaced individually with top and bottom margins. Keep the cart body lean. Too many sections can slow down decision-making at the most critical step of the purchase journey. ## Best practices - Keep Cart Items as the visual priority - Use one urgency element and one reassurance element before adding more - Use margin controls to separate sections without making the drawer feel long --- ### Recommended products in Cart Drawer **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/cart-drawer-recommended-products The **Recommended Products** section lets you upsell complementary or related items directly inside the ConvertX Cart Drawer. This is one of the main ways Cart Drawer can generate **additional revenue**. ## What you can customize Recommended Products settings include: - Section title - Add button text - Recommendation source - Maximum number of products - Layout mode - Slide spacing - Scrollbar visibility - Card background and radius - Image size - Product title and price styling - Compare-at price display - Button style and button price metadata ## Recommendation source ConvertX supports recommendation logic based on: - Related products - Complementary products - A mixed source Choose the source that matches your catalog quality and the type of upsell you want to surface. ## Layout and card design Recommended Products can be styled to feel compact or more prominent. Key choices include: - Horizontal or vertical card layout - Light or large add button style - Product card radius and background - Button colors - Optional compare-at price display Use a layout that stays easy to scan inside a narrow drawer. On most stores, fewer products with stronger relevance perform better than a large carousel. ## Troubleshooting Check that the section is enabled in the Cart Drawer body, that the recommendation source can return products, and that Cart Drawer itself is active. Reduce max products, simplify button metadata, or use a more compact card layout. Review product relevance first. Design helps, but recommendation quality matters more than showing many products. ## Best practices - Limit the number of products - Keep only highly relevant recommendations - Use clear add-to-cart button text - Avoid turning the cart into a full collection page --- ### Cart Drawer footer modules **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/cart-drawer-footer-modules The ConvertX Cart Drawer footer is built from configurable modules that support checkout completion and additional revenue. ## Available footer modules Footer modules include: - Shipping Protection - Discount Code - Order Notes - Discount Lines - Subtotal Line - Checkout Button - Express Checkout - Payment Icons ## Shipping Protection Shipping Protection adds an optional protection offer inside the drawer. When enabled and accepted, the linked protection product is added to cart. Before enabling it: - Create the protection product in Shopify - Give it a product image - Set the desired low price - Link the product correctly in ConvertX If no valid product is linked, Shipping Protection will not display in the Cart Drawer. ## Discount Code and Order Notes Cart Drawer can expose: - A discount code input - Order notes in a static field or collapsible panel You can customize labels, placeholders, icon size, control height, border radius, and colors. ## Subtotal, checkout, and express checkout The footer also controls the final conversion area: - Discount lines - Subtotal label - Checkout button text and style - Optional express checkout area The checkout area should stay visually dominant. Treat extra footer modules as support, not as the main CTA. ## Payment Icons in the footer Cart Drawer can show payment icons in the footer as a final reassurance layer near checkout. ## Best practices - Keep Shipping Protection optional and clearly explained - Use a simple discount code input - Keep the checkout button visually strongest - Use payment icons only if they support the final CTA rather than distracting from it --- ### Cart Drawer analytics **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/cart-drawer-analytics ConvertX tracks a dedicated analytics view for **Cart Drawer**. These metrics help you measure how the drawer contributes to checkout progression and additional revenue. ## Main Cart Drawer metrics The Cart Drawer analytics view includes: - **Views** - **Interactions** - **Add to cart** - **Checkout rate** - **Recommended upsell acceptance rate** - **Shipping protection activation rate** - **Upsell additions** - **Additional revenue** - **Orders with additional revenue** ## Metric definitions ### Views The total number of Cart Drawer impressions. ### Interactions The total number of actions performed inside the drawer. ### Add to cart This metric tracks native add-to-cart behavior tied to the drawer context. ### Checkout rate This reflects how many visitors moved from the drawer context toward checkout after native add to cart activity. ### Recommended upsell acceptance rate This shows how often recommended products are accepted relative to native add-to-cart activity in the drawer. ### Shipping protection activation rate This shows how often Shipping Protection is accepted relative to native add-to-cart activity in the drawer. ### Upsell additions This combines recommended product adds and shipping protection adds. ### Additional revenue Cart Drawer additional revenue comes from: - Recommended products added through the drawer - Shipping Protection added through the drawer For a deeper attribution explanation, see [How ConvertX revenue works](../subscription/additional-revenue). ## Best practices - Review acceptance rates together with additional revenue - Measure recommendation quality, not only drawer traffic - Use Cart Drawer analytics alongside the global analytics overview --- ### Cart Drawer troubleshooting **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/cart-drawer-troubleshooting If the ConvertX Cart Drawer is not behaving correctly, the issue usually comes from activation, theme cart triggers, module configuration, or storefront testing conditions. ## Quick checklist - The ConvertX App Embed is enabled - Cart Drawer is active in ConvertX - You are testing on the correct live theme - The theme has visible cart links or cart buttons - The relevant drawer sections or footer modules are enabled ## Common issues ### The Cart Drawer does not open Check: - The ConvertX App Embed is enabled - Cart Drawer is active - The storefront cart icon or cart trigger is present - You are not testing inside the wrong theme preview ### Shipping Protection is missing Check: - The Shipping Protection module is enabled in the footer - A valid product is linked in ConvertX - The linked product is available in Shopify ### Recommended products are missing Check: - The Recommended Products section is enabled - The recommendation source can actually return products - The drawer is not so crowded that the section is pushed too far below the fold ### Additional revenue is not tracked Cart Drawer additional revenue is only attributed when shoppers add revenue-generating drawer offers such as recommended products or shipping protection. A drawer view alone does not generate additional revenue. The shopper must accept a revenue-generating drawer offer. ### The drawer conflicts with the theme cart Some themes have their own cart drawer patterns or custom cart logic. Test cart open, cart refresh, quantity update, and checkout behavior on the live storefront after every major Cart Drawer change. ## Troubleshooting FAQ Most often, the App Embed is disabled in the current theme or the storefront is using another theme than the one you configured. Review the enabled state and order of sections and footer modules in the editor. Also verify any linked products used by drawer modules. Reduce the number of active drawer modules and keep only the sections that materially support checkout completion or relevant upsells. ## Best practices - Test the full cart flow after every major Cart Drawer edit - Keep drawer modules focused and easy to scan - Review analytics after changes instead of judging only by appearance --- ## Widgets ### Add widgets to a product page **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/add-widgets-to-product-page ConvertX **Widgets** are lightweight product-page elements such as reassurance content, badges, stock messaging, and delivery messaging. Inside the app, these widgets may also be referred to internally as **snippets**. Most widgets are placed with a Shopify **App Block** in the product template. ## Before you start Make sure that: - The ConvertX App Embed is enabled - The widget is unlocked or active in ConvertX - You are editing the correct Shopify theme and product template ## Add a widget in Shopify **Open the widget in ConvertX** Choose the widget you want to use from the dashboard. **Unlock or enable it** Make the widget available for storefront use. **Open the Shopify Theme Editor** Go to the product template where the widget should appear. **Add the matching ConvertX App Block** Select the widget block in the product section and place it in the right area. **Save the theme** Confirm the result on a live product page. ## Common widget placements - Above the Add to Cart button - Below the Add to Cart button - Near shipping, payment, or trust information - Inside the main product information column Widgets work best when they answer a real objection, such as trust, stock, shipping speed, or product benefits. ## Troubleshooting Check the App Embed, confirm the App Block was added to the product template, and save the theme after placement. Verify you are previewing the same theme and template where the App Block was added. Use fewer widgets and keep the ones that answer the strongest buying objections. ## Best practices - Use only the widgets that support the product's main selling points - Keep the buying area readable - Test widget placement on mobile and desktop --- ### Product Benefits widget **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/product-benefits The **Product Benefits** widget displays a small list of visual benefits on the product page. It is designed to explain why the product is valuable and reduce hesitation before purchase. Use Product Benefits when you need multiple reassurance or value points. Use Product Badge when only one message should stand out. ## Where it appears Product Benefits appears inside the Shopify product template through a ConvertX App Block. This widget requires the ConvertX App Embed and a product page App Block. ## How it works Product Benefits can display up to several short benefit lines with: - Text - An icon - Or a custom image The widget supports grid or stacked layouts depending on how much space you want to use. ## Typical use cases - Natural ingredients - Free shipping - Easy returns - Secure payment - Fast delivery ## Setup Add the Product Benefits App Block to the product template, then customize: - Layout - Icon size and icon style - Text size and colors - Benefit text entries - Spacing and margins ## Troubleshooting Check that the widget is enabled, the ConvertX App Embed is active, and the widget App Block is placed in the correct product template. Reduce the number of visible benefits or switch to a more compact layout and icon size. ## Best practices - Keep each benefit short - Focus on high-impact reassurance or value points - Avoid repeating information already obvious elsewhere on the page --- ### Product Highlights widget **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/product-highlights The **Product Highlights** widget shows short benefit tags or highlight pills on the Shopify product page. It is useful when you want compact, scannable selling points instead of a longer visual benefit list. Product Highlights is ideal when the product page already has strong visuals and only needs quick proof points. ## Where it appears Product Highlights appears inside the Shopify product template through a ConvertX App Block. This widget requires the ConvertX App Embed and a product page App Block. ## How it works Product Highlights displays short tags such as: - Made in France - Easy to clean - Timeless look - Best seller - Natural formula You can control spacing, text size, background color, border radius, and the number of visible tags. ## When to use it Use Product Highlights when: - You want a minimal design - You need compact benefit messaging - The product page already contains many visual elements ## Setup Add the Product Highlights App Block to the product template and configure: - Highlight text entries - Tag spacing - Row spacing - Text size - Background color - Border radius and padding ## Troubleshooting Check that the widget is enabled, the ConvertX App Embed is active, and the App Block is saved in the correct product template. Reduce the number of highlight pills or shorten the text so the layout stays scannable on mobile. ## Best practices - Use short phrases - Keep the tag list focused - Place the widget near the buying area without crowding it --- ### Stock Indicator widget **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/stock-indicator The **Stock Indicator** widget displays inventory or urgency messaging on the product page. It can use either automatic Shopify inventory data or a manual custom message. ## Where it appears Stock Indicator appears inside the Shopify product template through a ConvertX App Block. This widget requires the ConvertX App Embed and a product page App Block. ## How it works The widget supports two modes: - **Automatic**: uses Shopify inventory conditions - **Manual**: shows a custom message you control Automatic mode can display different messages for: - In stock - Low stock - Out of stock ## Setup Add the Stock Indicator App Block to the product template and configure: - Automatic or manual mode - Low stock threshold - Message text - Font size and typography - Margins Automatic mode depends on Shopify inventory management being active for the current variant. ## Troubleshooting Check that Shopify inventory management is enabled for the active variant and that the widget is placed in the correct product template. Raise the low stock threshold carefully or switch to a calmer manual message. ## Best practices - Use urgency honestly - Keep the low stock threshold realistic - Place the widget close to price or Add to Cart when it supports the purchase decision --- ### Estimated Delivery Date widget **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/estimated-delivery-date The **Estimated Delivery Date** widget displays a date-based shipping message on the product page, such as an expected delivery day or arrival window. Keep the delivery promise realistic. This widget should reinforce trust, not create expectations the store cannot meet. ## Where it appears Estimated Delivery Date appears inside the Shopify product template through a ConvertX App Block. This widget requires the ConvertX App Embed and a product page App Block. ## How it works The widget calculates a target date from: - The current date - A configurable day offset - A configurable date format It can also show an icon and aligned message near the buying area. ## Setup Add the Estimated Delivery Date App Block to the product template and configure: - Message text - Day offset - Date format - Alignment - Icon and icon size - Text styling and colors ## Troubleshooting Check that the widget is enabled, the ConvertX App Embed is active, and the App Block is placed in the correct product template. Review the date format setting and test it in the storefront locale used by the shop. ## Best practices - Keep the message clear and realistic - Place the delivery message near Add to Cart or shipping information - Re-check the displayed format for stores with multiple locales --- ### Trust Icons widget **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/trust-icons The **Trust Icons** widget displays short reassurance messages with icons on the product page. It is useful for shipping, security, returns, and other trust signals close to the buying area. Trust Icons works best when each line reflects a real store policy or shipping promise. ## Where it appears Trust Icons appears inside the Shopify product template through a ConvertX App Block. Reduce the number of lines and keep only the trust points that matter most near purchase. ## Best practices - Use only real store policies and guarantees - Keep the trust text short - Place the widget near the Add to Cart area or shipping details --- ### Product Badge widget **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/product-badge The **Product Badge** widget highlights one key product message with a compact badge or pill design. It works well for emphasis when a single message matters more than a full list. Choose one message that can influence hesitation immediately, such as bestseller status or a trust signal that matters for this product. ## Where it appears Product Badge appears inside the Shopify product template through a ConvertX App Block. This widget requires the ConvertX App Embed and a product page App Block. ## How it works The Product Badge widget combines: - A text label - An icon or custom image - Background and text colors - Badge styling and radius Common badge uses include: - Bestseller - Expert approved - Made locally - Limited edition ## Setup Add the Product Badge App Block to the product template and configure: - Badge style - Icon or image - Badge text - Font, text size, and colors - Background and icon colors - Margins Use Product Badge when one message should stand out clearly. Shorten the text, simplify the colors, or reduce the icon and font size. ## Best practices - Keep the badge copy short - Use it for your strongest product signal - Avoid placing too many badges in the same area --- ## Sections ### Add sections to a theme **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/add-sections-to-theme ConvertX **Sections** are Shopify theme sections that you add directly to a selected theme. After installation, they appear in the Theme Editor like native sections. ## How sections work The section flow is different from modules and widgets: - ConvertX adds the section file to a selected Shopify theme - You then open the Theme Editor - You add the section where you want in the page layout Sections are separate from App Blocks. They become part of the selected theme's available sections. ## Before you start Make sure that: - The store plan includes access to sections - You know which Shopify theme should receive the section - You are ready to place the section inside that theme ## Add a ConvertX Section **Open the Sections area in ConvertX** Choose the section you want to add. **Select the theme** Pick the Shopify theme that should receive the section file. **Confirm the addition** ConvertX injects the section into the selected theme. **Open the Shopify Theme Editor** Add the new section to the page where you want it to appear. ## Troubleshooting Make sure you added it to the same theme you are currently editing and confirm the current plan includes sections. Repeat the add-to-theme action for the correct theme and work there from now on. Place it first, then refine the surrounding theme layout so the ConvertX section feels native inside the page. ## Best practices - Use sections for larger visual or content blocks - Add them to the live theme only after testing in a safe theme or duplicate - Keep the chosen section consistent with the page purpose --- ### Testimonials Carousel section **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/testimonials-carousel The **Testimonials Carousel** section helps you display swipeable customer reviews directly inside a Shopify page layout. It is useful for homepage, product landing page, and campaign page social proof. This ConvertX Section must first be added to a Shopify theme before it can be inserted in the Theme Editor. ## Where it appears Testimonials Carousel appears as a native theme section after you add it to a Shopify theme from ConvertX. Sections require section access in the current plan and must be added to a theme before they appear in the Theme Editor. ## When to use it Use Testimonials Carousel when you want to: - Show strong customer proof - Add credibility to a landing page - Support premium or high-consideration products Testimonials Carousel works best when the shopper already understands the offer and now needs proof. ## Setup Add the section to your chosen theme from ConvertX, then open the Shopify Theme Editor and insert the Testimonials Carousel where social proof should support the page flow. ## Troubleshooting Check that it was added to the same theme you are currently editing and that the plan includes section access. Move it to a position where the shopper already understands the product and now needs trust proof. ## Best practices - Place the section after a strong product or offer introduction - Keep testimonial quality high - Use it where trust has the highest impact on conversion --- ### Image + Text Highlight section **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/image-text-highlight The **Image + Text Highlight** section pairs a visual with supporting copy and a call to action. It is useful when you want to explain a key product angle or brand message with more room than a widget or badge allows. This ConvertX Section is best used for narrative or positioning blocks, not for dense product specifications. ## Where it appears Image + Text Highlight appears as a native theme section after you add it to a Shopify theme from ConvertX. Sections require section access in the current plan and must be added to a theme before they appear in the Theme Editor. ## When to use it Use this section for: - Hero support blocks - Product education - Brand storytelling - Single-offer emphasis One strong image and one clear message usually outperform a complicated split layout with too much copy. ## Setup Add the section to a Shopify theme from ConvertX, then insert it in the Theme Editor where you want to pair a visual with focused supporting copy. ## Troubleshooting Confirm it was added to the same theme you are editing and that the current plan includes access to sections. Reduce the copy and let the visual do more of the persuasion work. ## Best practices - Use a strong visual with short copy - Place the section where shoppers need context before they convert - Avoid turning the section into a long text block --- ### Before/After Comparison section **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/before-after-comparison The **Before/After Comparison** section lets shoppers compare two visuals with an interactive slider. It is especially useful for products with visible transformation or outcome-based selling points. Use honest, comparable visuals. The section is persuasive only when the before and after images are credible and directly related. ## Where it appears Before/After Comparison appears as a native theme section after you add it to a Shopify theme from ConvertX. Sections require section access in the current plan and must be added to a theme before they appear in the Theme Editor. ## When to use it Use this section for: - Skincare and beauty transformations - Home improvement or cleaning results - Product demonstrations with visible outcome differences ## Setup Add the section to the target Shopify theme from ConvertX, then insert it in the Theme Editor where visual transformation proof can support the purchase decision. ## Troubleshooting Check that it was added to the theme you are editing and that the current plan includes section access. Use more comparable images with similar framing, lighting, and scale. ## Best practices - Use truly comparable before and after visuals - Place the section where visual proof matters more than extra copy - Keep image quality high so the effect stays convincing --- ## Analytics ### Analytics overview **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/analytics-overview ConvertX includes a global analytics overview plus dedicated analytics views for several module families: - Bundles - Upsells - Cart Drawer - Stories - Sticky Add to Cart ## What analytics helps you measure Analytics helps you understand: - Which features are getting views - Which features are generating interactions - Which features contribute to additional or influenced revenue - Which modules deserve more testing or better placement ## Available views Inside ConvertX analytics, you can review: - A global overview - Module-specific dashboards - Metric trends and engagement breakdowns Not every module uses the same attribution model. Cart Drawer, Bundles, and Upsells focus heavily on additional revenue, while Stories and Sticky Add to Cart also rely on influenced revenue logic. ## Best practices - Compare analytics after real storefront changes - Review module performance by intent, not only by raw traffic - Use analytics together with placement and design testing --- ### Metrics and attribution **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/metrics-and-attribution ConvertX uses several analytics metrics to explain how modules contribute to shopper behavior and revenue. ## Core metrics Common metrics include: - Views - Interactions - Add to cart - Orders with additional revenue - Additional revenue - Influenced revenue ## Additional revenue vs influenced revenue **Additional revenue** is revenue that ConvertX attributes to incremental value created by a feature, such as: - Bundles - Upsells - Cart Drawer recommended products - Cart Drawer shipping protection **Influenced revenue** is revenue attributed to influence on the purchase journey rather than a directly added upsell line, such as: - Stories - Sticky Add to Cart For the detailed attribution model, see [How ConvertX revenue works](../subscription/additional-revenue). ## Cart Drawer versus other module metrics Cart Drawer includes its own metrics for: - Checkout progression - Recommended upsell acceptance - Shipping protection activation - Drawer-specific additional revenue Read the dedicated guide here: [Cart Drawer analytics](../modules/cart-drawer-analytics). ## Best practices - Read each metric in the context of its module - Do not compare influenced revenue and additional revenue as if they were the same signal - Track changes after configuration or placement edits --- ## Plans & Subscription ### Plans overview **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/plans ConvertX plan access is based on: - The number of active application types - The store's monthly additional revenue limit inside ConvertX - Access to premium functionality such as sections and advanced targeting in some areas ## Current plan structure ### Free - Up to **3 active application types** - Up to **$50** in additional revenue - No access to ConvertX sections ### Starter - Up to **5 active application types** - Up to **$200** in additional revenue - No access to ConvertX sections ### Essential - Up to **$1,000** in additional revenue - Access to ConvertX sections - Active application limit depends on install date: - **5 active application types** for older installs - **4 active application types** for installs created on or after **February 27, 2026** ### Premium - Unlimited active application types - Unlimited additional revenue - Access to all sections - Access to the most advanced ConvertX functionality Some in-app labels may refer to Premium as Pro. The current plan key used by the app is **Premium**. ## What counts toward plan limits ConvertX limits count **active application types**, not every individual object you create. Example: - Two active Upsells still count as **one** active application type - One active Bundle and one active Cart Drawer count as **two** active application types Widgets are not counted as active application types in the current application limit logic. For the exact definition, see [Active applications and limits](active-applications-and-limits). ## Legacy notes Plan behavior may differ for older stores that were installed before pricing changes. The current app logic still supports legacy plan keys and legacy session states where relevant. ## Best practices - Keep only the active application types that matter most to your funnel - Review plan limits before enabling another major module family - Monitor additional revenue so plan changes do not surprise you --- ### How ConvertX revenue works **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/additional-revenue ConvertX tracks two different revenue concepts: - **Additional revenue** - **Influenced revenue** These metrics are used for analytics and plan enforcement inside ConvertX. They do not change Shopify payouts or native Shopify reporting. Additional revenue and influenced revenue are not the same thing. ConvertX tracks them separately on purpose. ## Additional revenue **Additional revenue** represents incremental value created directly by a ConvertX conversion feature. This mainly applies to: - Bundles - Upsells - Cart Drawer recommended products - Cart Drawer shipping protection ### Bundles For Bundles, ConvertX attributes the incremental value created by the bundled quantity beyond the base product purchase. ### Upsells For Upsells, ConvertX attributes the value of the accepted upsell line item. ### Cart Drawer For Cart Drawer, ConvertX attributes the value generated by: - Recommended products added through the drawer - Shipping protection added through the drawer ## Influenced revenue **Influenced revenue** represents revenue attributed to a feature that influenced the purchase path rather than directly adding a dedicated upsell line. This mainly applies to: - Stories - Sticky Add to Cart ### Stories Stories can influence revenue when a shopper interacts with story content and then purchases the related product. ### Sticky Add to Cart Sticky Add to Cart can influence revenue when the sticky purchase flow supports the product being added and purchased. ## What is not counted The following are not attributed as ConvertX revenue: - Orders with no ConvertX interaction - Revenue outside the app's attribution logic - Drawer views that do not lead to a qualifying add ## Why this matters for plans ConvertX plan enforcement uses the store's monthly additional revenue threshold. If the limit is exceeded, the app can move into a revenue-exceeded state before active applications are disabled later if the issue is not resolved. Revenue-based enforcement is not immediate. The current app logic gives a grace period before disabling active application types. ## Related guides - [Analytics overview](../analytics/analytics-overview) - [Metrics and attribution](../analytics/metrics-and-attribution) - [Cart Drawer analytics](../modules/cart-drawer-analytics) --- ### Active applications and limits **URL:** https://docs.appconvertx.com/active-applications-and-limits In ConvertX, plan limits are based on **active application types**. This is one of the most important billing and setup concepts in the app. ## What is an active application type An active application type is an active module family such as: - Bundle - Stories - Upsell - Payment Icons - Sticky Add to Cart - Cart Drawer ConvertX counts the number of active module types, not the number of individual records. ## Example If your store has: - 3 active upsells - 1 active bundle - 1 active sticky add to cart Your active application count is **3**, not 5. ## What does not count the same way In the current ConvertX application limit logic: - Widgets are not counted as active application types - Sections are controlled by plan access, not by the active application counter ## What happens when module limits are exceeded When the active application limit is exceeded, ConvertX can block activation of a new application type unless one of the currently active types is disabled first. ## What happens when revenue limits are exceeded ConvertX also tracks monthly additional revenue by plan. If the store exceeds the monthly additional revenue limit: - The app can enter a revenue-exceeded state - A grace period is scheduled - If the limit is still exceeded after that window, active application types can be disabled The current limit enforcement logic uses a 7-day delay before disabling active application types after revenue overage. ## Best practices - Keep only the active application types that materially improve your funnel - Review limits before activating another large module family - Watch your additional revenue in analytics so plan enforcement is predictable ---
